Live Visitor Counter!
Added a total visit count and live visitor counter to the site.
The site now shows two numbers in the footer: how many people have visited in total, and how many are here right now.
It's a small thing, but I like what it does to the feel of the place. Just like the chat room, the site isn't just a static page you stumble across — there's a sense that other people have been here, and maybe someone else is reading the same thing you are right now.
It runs on the same Cloudflare Durable Object infrastructure as the chat room. Every visitor opens a WebSocket connection that gets tracked live, and the total count persists across sessions. The numbers update in real time while you're on the page.
