What is QARMA QUAD?
A top-down shooter where you don't control one character; you control four! Your Quad can be made up of four misfit beings of your choosing that move as a single unit through corporate strongholds, crime dens, and cult compounds. Each one carries a different loadout, and the member closest to your aim is the one who fires. Line up the right character, then commit.
What's Qarma?
Not a score, a reputation. Three factions (Corpo, Crime, and Cultists) remember everything you do, and there are no clean hands: help one, and a rival marks you. It's not good vs. evil, it's who remembers you vs. who's hunting you. Kill and it costs you; knock 'em out and it doesn't; the choice is built right into the trigger. (Fair warning: play too righteous and the galaxy pushes back harder.)

My role
I'm an additional programmer on the project, brought in due to my experience with both making games and publishing to Steam. Originally, SlickRamen mentioned they might be looking for programming help on a project and was checking if I'd be interested. I almost said yes before knowing anything about the project simply because they're such a talented programmer and it had been a long time since we worked together; just the idea of working together again was enough to get me interested.
Then I saw bits of the game and thought it was really cool. I also saw that it was a Skel Studio project, which had me shocked; I've been a fan of Hans for over a decade and didn't know they were dipping their toes into making games. The opportunity to work with Hans and the crew on a Skel Studio game wasn't even something I was considering at the time.
All to say, none of this would've happened without Newgrounds! 🧡
