Chat Rules
Keep it chill. The chat is anonymous and temporary, just don't be mean or too crazy!
The rules
- 1.No slurs, harassment, or targeted abuse: that includes racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, and other bigoted language. Zero tolerance.
- 2.No spam or flooding: don't post the same thing repeatedly or dump walls of text.
- 3.No doxxing or sharing personal information: don't share someone's real name, address, phone number, or any other private information about another person without their consent.
- 4.No illegal content: don't share anything that's illegal, links, images, or otherwise. And just to be clear, if something is only “illegal” in your country because of who you are or who you love, I don't care, you're fine. Any content involving the sexual exploitation of minors will be reported to the relevant authorities, no exceptions.
- 5.Use the report button: if someone's breaking the rules, hit the ⚑ on their message. Reports go straight to me and will be dealt with. Anyone breaking the rules gets an IP permaban.
- 6.My website, my rules: I, Benny, moderate at my own discretion. If you feel a ban was unfair you can try to appeal at contact@bennyrenya.com, but nothing is guaranteed.
What data is collected
- •Your IP address: read on connection to check against the ban list. It's not logged or stored (unless you make a report, or a report is made against you).
- •No message history: messages fade out and disappear after 2 minutes. There is no log, no database, and no way to retrieve past messages.
- •End-to-end encrypted: messages are encrypted in your browser using AES-GCM with an ECDH P-256 key exchange, and only decrypted by other users' browsers. The chat backend runs on Cloudflare Workers with Durable Objects, which relay encrypted blobs and never see the plaintext content of your messages. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for more.
- •No accounts: you get a random anon name each session ( anon-XXXX). Nothing is tied to you.
- •Reports: submitting or receiving a report stores the IP addresses of both parties, the reported message text, and the anon names involved. Reports are kept until reviewed and cleared.
- •Ban list: stores the IP address and the message or reason that led to the ban. Kept private and used only for moderation purposes.
